At the core of the system is the robust Mitsubishi Alpha 2 controller, providing dependable and programmable control logic for efficient traffic operation. The controller allows full customization of traffic signal timings, including an all-red clearance period programmable from 0 to 255 seconds to ensure intersection safety, and a green light period programmable from 0 to 255 seconds for precise traffic flow regulation. 

To enhance responsiveness and efficiency, the system supports multiple vehicle detection options, including ultra-sonic detectors (standard) for non-intrusive vehicle presence detection, inductive loops for high-accuracy in-ground detection, photoelectric (PE) beams for line-of-sight vehicle sensing, and access control integration for secure entry and exit management.
